Lucky for me this sunblock was on SALE! Why was that? According to the saleslady I talked to a month ago, she said this sunblock will soon be discontinued and the company will create a sunscreen for kids with an SPF30. They had to bring down the price because... they had to! From Php600, it was marked down to Php399.75.

You might also be wondering why I am using a sunscreen for KIDS. It's simply for me; I like to use it that's all.

Even as for an adult myself, this sunscreen is good and it protected me while I was out in the sun. I always give it a good shake and apply sunscreen on to my clean skin. It smells like KAOLIN CLAY and I do not like the smell of it. But I had to forget the smell and remind myself I am doing it for my skin. The sunscreen feels sticky and will leave a white film on to the skin -- which is not surprising at all because it supposed to happen. I always make sure to give myself an extra 15-20minutes before leaving the house just to be sure it has settled on my me and sealed my skin from the sun! I pay extra attention to my face, neck, decolletage, the back of my hands and other areas exposed to the sun. I did not experience any irritation or breakouts when I used this product. If the white film is worrying you, it will leave no trace of it after you give it a few minutes and you're good to go. Unless it's your first time using sunscreen, it will take time to add a few adjustments but it is a good investment that will protect your skin for years!

I know I should've used sunscreen with SPF30, but I surely will buy one once I ran out of this. If I feel I need to reapply during the day, even for an oily skin myself, it does feel uncomfortable. I use a blotting paper to soak excess oil, then apply sunscreen. I try not to think about the sticky feeling that much but once I am done, it feels good to be protected from the UV rays. The white film is very evident which makes me look like a zombie in public, but it will settle in a few minutes. Give it time. I travel anywhere with this sunscreen on hand, I am careful not to squeeze the tube by accident and prevent it from spilling all over my bag.

Philcillin Crocodile Oil Soap

Crocodile Oil? I get goosebumps when I hear this. Is this a new thing I never heard of? I love skin care but this oil makes me uncomfortable.

On my recent trip we had in Davao to visit my relatives, I had these red spots on my calves (front)! It wasn't itchy nor irritated, but they're just there. I had no idea if I was bitten by mosquitoes or if I had allergies of some sort. I had no clue nor could I recall anything that could make this happen. I was worried what these were.

Just hours before our flight back to Manila, we had a quick stop at CROCODILE PARK. I lost count how many times I've been there. You could see crocodiles plus other animals and get to take pictures together with a python (harmless... I think!), baby orangutan, baby crocodile and a Cockatoo(?). (Was it a Cockatoo?) But one thing that intrigued me besides their Ostrich Ice Cream and Crocodile Ice Cream in different flavors, was their CROCODILE OIL. I've never heard of such a thing. I went inside their souvenir shop and head straight to the skin care products made out of crocodile oil.

At first I was a little skeptical. I do not know anyone who uses crocodile oil in their beauty regimen. They are c-r-o-c-o-d-i-l-e-s! I get scared! I read a pamphlet they handed out and it has lots of benefits for our skin. I instantly thought about these red spots on my calves, thinking this could help me get rid of it.

Besides their best selling crocodile oil, they also sell soaps and lotions made out of this oil as well. I wanted to try it out first if crocodile oil are suited for me. I was a bit hesitant, but wishing it could help me with my skin problem, I decided to buy their small crocodile oil soap (chocolate).

Philcillin Crocodile Oil Soap (Chocolate) 50g | Php190

After crocodile oil penetrates the skin, it can promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, activate cell regeneration, speed up the metabolism, accelerate the replacement of old skin cells. 

I picked the chocolate variant because I love chocolate! It's a 50g crocodile oil soap loaded with benefits of a crocodile's oil and the benefits of chocolate. Before I used it on my calves, I tested it first just to see if I was allergic to it. Thank goodness, I wasn't.

I use this soap everyday for a month to wash my legs (Why not the whole leg reap the soap's benefits and not just the calves?) with this soap. Though the product says it is in chocolate, it rather smells like a peppermint. I find the smell of it unexpected. When the last bit of soap I had was gone, I checked my calves and the red spots finally dried up. I did not experience any redness on my legs when I used this soap. All I got to do now is wait for my skin to fully heal and hopefully these dried brownish spots lighten.

Even with the positive results I had, there is still a part of me that is a little hesitant. I am really not sure if 'd purchase these again on my next visit. Or maybe I just couldn't get my mind off how scary crocodiles are? I had the feeling I still need a little bit more of convincing or time. I would love to read other reviews about the product. There were a lot of people say it was a great find,... but I'm the kind of person who likes to read details on how it worked (or not) on them.

SNOE Eau La la Seed Serum Natural Beauty Bar

I have a little confessing to make, and it was a slight mistake I got myself into over the last 6 months. I will not be sharing you the details, but what I can tell you is that, it was definitely something I learned my lesson from. Well, my skin was doing a-ok when I did something caused my skin to dark! Yes, the struggle is real! It was a long wait to get my skin recover, then repurchase some of my favorite products that I know has worked for me.

You know I love SNOE's Extra Strength Whitening Powder Mask. I used it for 2-3weeks and it never failed me. I try dedicating a few minutes everyday for this mask to lighten my skin, but there are some days that I have to set it aside. But if I did find time, I let it be a 'nourishing' time for me and not rush into things. Over the last 2-3weeks of using this product, I still have got to say, it works. It does take time though, and have to paired with other whitening products as well to help hasten the process. I love mixing the whitening powder and solution like I am doing an experiment.

I didn't know if I should take it because the price was something I did not expect at all. But I thought, if the powder mask helped my skin before, perhaps this soap could also be as good. I gave it a shot.

After I applied my Extra Strength Gluthatione Whitening Powder Mask, I use this soap to wash off the mask and let it sit on the skin that needs to be lightened for 2-3minutes. The soap has a beautiful red color with chia seeds on it (the tiny black ones). It smells like cherries by the way and it is amazing! I know chia seeds have tons of great benefits for the body, but I am not sure if it works well with the exfoliating my skin.

After several uses of this soap and the powder mask, I did see an improvement. It wasn't a drastic change, but I could definitely see it lightened. The soap is good, but I wouldn't suggest using this soap alone to get results. It has to be paired with other whitening products (creams, masks, liquid, powder, etc.) to see its lightning lightening skin! Skin lightening takes tons of time and patience is always key. Do apply sunblock to protect yourself from the sun!

As for my dark skin dilemma after one mistake I did 6 months ago, I am very happy to report the progress of my skin is way a lot better now. It is an awesome feeling! Just giving myself a few more months to let it fully heal itself and regain its suppleness.

I am not really sure if I'd be repurchasing because of the price, but it was nice I get to try this soap. I do not think I have read any reviews about this so far.

Etude House Moonlight Blending Sleeping Cream | Blueberry

I am in love with this Blending Sleeping Cream by Etude House! I have tried one of these months ago but I was not able to make a post for you all. But fear not! I knew I need to tell you why I bought some of these awesome creams again from my last visit at Etude House. And come to think of it, I need to buy a few more because that's how much I love it.

The one's I have tried so far are: SHEA BUTTER and OLIVE. And today I'd be reviewing the BLUEBERRY kind because this provides moisture and antioxidants for the skin.

I could feel my skin needs a pick-me-up because of a lot of things going on! I need to give my skin a break!

Moonlight Blending Sleeping Cream (Blueberry) | Php68

This is a Blending Sleeping Cream containing Blueberry extract, Lavender, Chamomile and Mint. Blend together Sleeping Cream's golden herb water-gel and richly nourishing cream contents to moisturize skin overnight for a lucid, bright moonlight-like complexion.

Directions:

1. Squeeze paper cover to slightly open up and remove enclosed spoon.

2. Remove sealing cover slowly starting from the end of spoon handle.

3. Break off the spoon from pack container and evenly blend together golden herb water gel-like and cream with spoon's smaller end.

4. Pick up blended Sleeping Cream with hands and evenly apply a certain amount onto face. Wear overnight and rinse off with lukewarm water the next morning.

The Blending Sleeping Cream has 8 variants to choose from: Royal Jelly, Shea Butter, Olive, Blueberry, Rosehip, Evening Prim, Seaweed, and Green Tea. It is a cream used lastly on evening skincare routine. But sometimes I like to use this alone after toner. It still works great!

Just look how cute the details are in this packaging! I love the name of the product as well! And the cream itself comes in a unique way of presentation: a spoon. Yes, a spoon! I was surprised to find a spoon with the product in it. How cute is that!

This blueberry Moonlight Blending Sleeping Cream has a lovely scent. Peel the sticky paper off the spoon and you will find two types of emollient: a transparent gel and a pinkish cream just like an egg yolk. The best part of this is detaching the handle and mix the products onto the spoon and you'll get a gel-like pinkish cream to be applied on the face, neck, decolletage and the back of the hands. I love the idea of mixing things such as these!

I wasn't able to take a picture of the product once the packaging was opened. I wish you could have seen it but I did not want to waste time taking pictures while the cream is exposed for so long.

It didn't felt sticky on my face. It made my skin look dewy before I went to bed. I still had a lot product in my spoon for me to use in one night. But I can't let it go exposed for hours! What I did was, I used the rest of the cream on my elbows, legs and feet to give it antioxidants as well. :) By morning, my skin feels refreshed and soft.

This is amazing! It makes any "ordinary" day of applying creams into something engaging and fun! Everything is so cute! I would love to try other variants of blending sleeping cream!

Venus and Mars Naturals Haul | World Bazaar Festival 2015

My first World Bazaar Festival I ever attended! I had to be here to purchase skincare items that I love -- Venus and Mars Naturals. I've read a few blogs that they usually held a sale. It was a long queue but worth every step it took to look for their booth.

I was about to think they are not in this year's bazaar, but lo and behold... it was right near the food court! It's like, the cloud parted to give light to what I was looking for for hours! My strength regained and started skipping to their booth. Too bad I didn't get the chance to meet Jamie and/or Justin Tan, the fabulous sisters who started this skincare brand.

Mahogany Obsidian Yoni Egg Experience

It has been 2-3 months since I last used my yoni eggs. There were a lot of things happened and there wasn't a "perfect time" to do so. I miss my Mahogany Obsidian and Rose Quartz eggs so much. Something in me had to set this aside due to external factors... but also there was a part of me that can't help but take it all back for ME.

Today I inserted my egg. I was a little upset from something that I had to give my body the space to cry. I had my hands over my heart and womb and feel these feelings. Listen to my body where the tension was coming from and what it was trying to tell me. Few minutes later, I cried. It feels good to cry. It washes out negative emotions I don't want it get stuck in my body. I was really upset! I reflected and hold myself after that. These feelings can be scary because there are times I tend to ran away from it. I didn't know if I can deal with it. Life isn't always about being 'happy' everyday; it also means experiencing the bad.

I used my Mahogany Obsidian Yoni Egg. I cleansed it and had it sanitized for 10 minutes in a bowl of warm-ish water (not too hot!!! as long as you can dip your finger safely, then it is safe for your egg) I whispered my intentions to my egg. I like spritzing the room with perfume to add touch before I insert my egg. I relaxed my body and feel the pleasure. It does bother me why it has to be a taboo to able to feel something when our bodies are supposed to feel and express. Anyways, so I inserted my egg as I smile. I gave it a little push and in it was. I laid there for a few minutes and feel it inside of me. I miss this so much!

Throughout the day I focused myself on what was important as I still feel these feelings without judging (though there were times I did judge, I reminded to be gentle on myself). I was tired of THIS upsetting me when I knew there was just no way. (I know I am talking vague) So here I am with these feelings as I ate a lot of food!!! It was my body's way of coping with the 'emptiness'. I even had my food delivered to my house because I was (emotionally) hungry.

Few hours after inserting my egg, I could already feel my egg wanting to come out! I was standing while talking to someone when I felt this. I thought I was on my period but I could feel my yoni egg was coming out. This was the first time it happened to me. I immediately buried it under the ground. I heard from other women who also use yoni eggs, it just means the egg is ready to leave and did what it supposed to do. I wish it could stay for a day or two... but when it's time to go, it's time.

Right now as I blog I feel a little light. I'm not saying this thing upsetting me is gone for good! I felt I needed support because it broke me when I connected the dots. I had my eyes wide open! I was grateful for what I have. I wish a happy life ahead for this thing upsetting me! I had to cut it all. I had to... for me.

Mini Haul: ETUDE HOUSE and SNOE

Had a little skin care shopping the other day! Though I would love to splurge more, I still have enough skin care products back home to last me for a month or two.

Start with SNOE first:

I wrote a review about this product a year ago. It's SNOE's Extra Strength Glutathione Whitening Powder Mask [Php349]. Here is the link to my review in case you haven't read it yet. It is a whitening mask you apply on areas on the body where you want it to lighten. I have tried it and always been coming back for this every time I feel like I like to lighten some uneven areas in my body.

This is one soap from SNOE that I always feel like I'm a little apprehensive of. I didn't know which soap I should buy: the EAU LALA SEED SERUM NATURAL BEAUTY BAR or their EMU.CLEANSE CREAMY BEAUTY BAR. [ Read my review here. ] I read at the back of the packaging the benefits of both soaps just to be sure I'd be getting a soap I really need. It was recommended by the sales person that I should try their EAU LALA SEED SERUM NATURAL BEAUTY BAR [Php399] when I told her I got a dried up rash in my body that I needed to lighten. And so I bought it. It is a bit expensive, and I'm crossing my fingers.


Next, ETUDE HOUSE:

I got their HAPPY ESSENTIAL FOAM in COLLAGEN (pink) [Php248] because I love it so much as well as their HYALURONIC ACID (blue) facial cleansers! It is creamy and smells divine whenever I wash my face with this. I always keep coming back for this every time! Collagen is that "glue" that keeps our skin together keeping it look fresh and young. You can read my review here.

I bought 5 sheet masks [Php58 each]: ACAI BERRY (antioxidant), SNAIL (smooth firming), PEARL (bright complexion), POMEGRANATE (smooth & energizing) and COENZYME 10 (tightening & firming). I had to pick an each of my favorite masks to give my skin variety whenever I feel like I need a little boost after a long day. Have you noticed I never post reviews on sheet masks? :)

They also gave me a freebie! Since I spent over Php500 worth of products. (It depends what freebie you'll be getting if you reached a certain mark). I got two sample sizes of their ZERO SEBUM clear gel which is perfect for me because I have oily skin. I'll let you know what I think about it in a few days.
